Women’s Rugby at Galwegians enjoys a long and illustrious history as one of Ireland’s most dominant and consistent teams.

The Women’s Firsts squad competes in the All Ireland League against the best teams in the country. In addition to this premier league competition, the team also competes in the All Ireland Cup and the Leinster Paul Flood Cup. Galwegians women were winners of the Leinster Cup in 2010-11 and runners up in 2012-13, and they won the All Ireland Cup in 2012-13 and again in 2013-14.

Off the pitch the Women’s sides are a crucial component of Wegian’s social activities with a social calendar to rival our fixtures list.

The Women’s squad train twice weekly on Tuesday & Thursday evenings at 7pm in Crowley Park.

Women’s rugby is a dynamic and skillful sport combining athleticism and strength. The game caters for all shapes and sizes and we are always looking for new recruits young and old. So if you have any interest please contact us today.
