- Result: Galwegians Thirds 3 - Corinthians 11

- Competition: Glynn Cup
A 10.30am KO in the Glynn cup on St. Patricks Day was an early start, or the end of a long night depending on which member of the thirds panel you asked. Either way it was a shock to the system and this transferred directly onto the main pitch.
Corinthians dominated the first half in terms of position and territory. They kicked two penalties early on and won a few set pieces against the head. This made it hard for Wegians to build any momentum in their game. Eoin O’Mahony kept the home side in touch with a well-taken penalty to leave the score 3-6 at the break.
The second half was more of the same from the thirds and when Corinthians crossed for a try, this left Wegians chasing the game. A disappointing day at the office considering the expectations coming into the game but there may be a chance for redemption depending on the Ard na Cregg draw.
