Match Report
The Thirds first league game at home in the new seasons was a very good result. winning with a score of 31-12.
The Thirds took an early lead with the first of 3 trys for Fergal Burke in the 4th minute.
A second try came from the on form winger Marcus Cosgrave getting his 5th try in 3 games.
The 3rd try was scored by Lloyd Johnston on the wing after a sweet offload from Gary Carroll.
Buccs scored their first of 2 tries late in the first half.
Again the Thirds started brightly in the second half with a second try from Burke. This was scored after a great kick through by Larry Corcoran, in between the second try from Buccs then came the 3rd and most important try out wide by the flowing full back.
It was a very tough game and Buccs had a much better second half with strong powerful running and a great off load game by the forwards in particular.
Man of the Match was awarded to Ciarain Charco Costello after a masterful display of tackling. Even more impressive that Charco recently converted from scrum half to a powerful backrow forward.
