Galwegians 3rd’s returned to action after the Christmas break and completed a comprehensive victory over Carrick to continue their winning run.

Looking for friendly’s to fill in the free weekends outside of league action, the team travelled down to Longford for the challenge match.

Carrick, who play in the league above (1c), were expected to be the sternest test of the year for the team, but from the 1st scrum to the last Wegians took control of the game to end up 5 tries to 1 winner’s. Despite the heavy ground the team continued the recent expansive game-scoring with 4 of their tries coming from number 13 outwards.
