Our 1sts hosted Blackrock in the 3rd round of the league on Sunday 1st October.
It was a very windy day in Galway and we used this to our advantage in the first half as Ciara O'Connor and Edel McMahon (conv. Nicole Fowley) cross the line.
Half time score 12-5 Galwegians.
Blackrock had the wind with them in the second half but every time they got some momentum Wegians turned over the ball. Nicole Fowley scored a try for Wegians and Blackrock converted a try of their own.
However, Wegians finished strong with another try from Denise Redmond giving the girls a bonus point and our first win of the season.
Final score 22-12.
