Match Report
Galwegians Women's 1st XV played out an exciting draw against Suttonians in the Women's AIL in their double header on Saturday. The Blue Belles were the more impressive team in the first half, and a brace of tries by Gemma Faulkner had them 10-0 to the good. The Dubliners hit back with an Aoife Brennan try, and a penalty by Laura Claridge reduced the margin to just two points. An Ailish Quinn try stretched Wegians' advantage to seven points in the second half. However in a game that ebbed and flowed, the visitors would draw level with a late Esmee Ligtvoet try converted by Claridge. Both sides had their chances to win, but a draw was probably the fair result in the end.
